So, welcome to this webinar, which aims to both introduce this tool to those who are not yet familiar with it and to discuss with existing users how it can evolve further to best meet various needs.
Let's start with a quick introduction of the team.
Souhila AMRIOUNE – I’m a research engineer at Geomod, working in the Hydro Management division. In this role, I mainly provide technical and business support for the tools we distribute. I’m also joined by Dominique.
Dominique, would you like to introduce yourself?
Yes, I’m Dominique MECHIN, Sales Administrator for the Hydro division at Geomod by Coexya.
And maybe Lucile, whom many of you are already in contact with?
I’m Lucile, in charge of Geomod’s commercial activities.
Agenda Overview
Today, we’ll be presenting our collaborative platform, Geocommunity, which serves as a hub for hydraulic modelers working with different tools, whether open-source or commercial solutions.
Without further delay, here’s our agenda for today:
An introduction to Geomod by Coexya—who we are, our origins, and ambitions.
A detailed presentation of the Geocommunity platform—its purpose and evolution since its launch nearly three years ago.
A demo showcasing its key features, tabs, and available activities.
An explanation of how to access and become a member of this platform.
A Q&A session where we welcome feedback and suggestions for improvements from both current and potential users.
Who Are We?
Geomod is a historical partner of Innovyze, a software developer specializing in hydraulic modeling, now known as Autodesk Water since January 2024.
We have been distributing these tools for over 25 years (since 1995), and Geomod itself is an entity within Coexya, formerly known as Sword.
Within this business unit, we operate three main areas:
Wave Modeling – We develop simulation tools for acoustics and electromagnetics, such as MithraSIG and MithraREM, which may be familiar to those in this field.
Marine Geomatics – We specialize in the creation of standardized bathymetric charts.
Hydro Management – We distribute hydraulic modeling tools, provide training, technical support, and consulting services.
While Geomod is the name many of you know, we have now fully integrated into the Coexya France group. Coexya is an independent, multi-specialist digital company, involved in:
Data Intelligence
Project Innovation
Custom software development
Digital Experience
Geomod operates within Data Intelligence, with a strong expertise in GIS. We are also Gold Partners with ESRI and well-known for supporting and developing GIS solutions for local authorities.
If you have any questions about our activities, feel free to ask via the chat.
Introduction to the Geocommunity Platform
I’ll now pass the floor to Nathalie.
Origins and Ambitions of Geocommunity
Geomod has long supported modelers in using various tools, particularly Innovyze/Autodesk tools, by providing technical support.
Originally, this platform was created exclusively for Geomod clients, allowing us to offer instant support and various assistance tools to our users.
However, through discussions with our users, we realized that hydraulic modeling is a highly specialized field, where shared experiences and professional exchanges are incredibly valuable.
Thus, we decided to open Geocommunity as a collaborative platform, not only for Autodesk Water software users but for all modelers, recognizing that many professionals work in isolation in their respective organizations and need a space for technical and professional exchange.
This is why Geocommunity is positioned as a collaborative hub for water management professionals and hydraulic modeling specialists.
What Does Geocommunity Offer?
Initially, the platform provided instant technical support for Autodesk Water users.
It has now expanded into a comprehensive, interactive toolbox for hydraulic modeling, featuring:
Discussions on various modeling software, including both commercial and open-source solutions.
News and updates related to the water sector and hydraulic modeling.
A community space for sharing experiences and success stories, from technical insights on tool usage to broader discussions on hydraulic modeling challenges and achievements.
The goal is to build a collaborative network where professionals can share knowledge, best practices, and expertise.
Main Features of the Platform
Blog and Forum Sections – Users can post articles, success stories, and questions.
Job Listings and Tenders – Companies and professionals can post job offers or project tenders.
Collaborative Spaces – Modelers can create networks and connect with experts.
Open-Source Modeling Communities – Users of tools like EPANET, EPASWMM, and HEC-RAS can join dedicated groups to share knowledge and best practices.
Autodesk Water Communities (Restricted Access) – Exclusive areas for clients using InfoWorks ICM, InfoDrainage, InfoWorks WS Pro, and InfoAsset, where they can access technical documentation, request support, and share industry insights.
Our objective is to continue expanding this platform and encourage active user participation in shaping its future.
How to Access Geocommunity?
To join, you can scan the QR code displayed here or visit geocommunity.everbright.com.
Certain sections of the platform are publicly accessible without registration, including:
Event listings
Job offers
Contact forms
To unlock full access, including private communities and interactive tools, you’ll need to create a free account (similar to LinkedIn).
We highly encourage all modelers, regardless of their preferred tools, to participate, share experiences, and contribute to the platform.
Membership Options and Pricing
Now, I’ll pass it to Dominique to discuss membership fees.
General platform access is free.
Private Autodesk Water communities require a paid membership, currently priced at €2,400 per year (€200 per month), with a 50% discount for additional users.
Everything is done on a quote basis, so don’t hesitate to contact us for details.
We also offer trial access, allowing users to explore the community before committing.
Future Developments
One of our upcoming goals is to launch a student community by the end of the year.
This would allow universities and engineering schools using our tools to connect with potential employers, providing companies with access to students already trained on these solutions.
Q&A and Closing Remarks
Now, we’d love to hear from you!
Are there any users who would like to share their experience with Geocommunity?
Do you have suggestions on how the platform could evolve to better meet your needs?
You can ask questions live or via the contact form on the platform.
We want Geocommunity to be as useful as possible—not just a support tool for our software, but a reference hub for the entire hydraulic modeling field.
The more contributors we have, the richer the platform becomes, allowing professionals to save time, share insights, and collaborate more effectively.
We also encourage you to publish job offers, tenders, and showcase your projects and expertise within the platform.
Thank you all for your participation, and we look forward to seeing you at the next webinar.
Goodbye and see you soon!
