GEOMOD tools by Coexya at the heart of IFREMER’s research vessels

As part of its scientific missions at sea, IFREMER, the operator of the French oceanographic fleet, relies on technology partners capable of meeting the operational demands of the maritime environment. GEOMOD is one such organisation which, through its geomatics solutions, contributes to the smooth running of scientific campaigns conducted at sea.

Specialising in geomatics and marine cartography, GEOMOD supports IFREMER by providing mapping solutions and web services designed for on-board use. WMS servers developed by the GEOMOD teams are deployed on several vessels in the fleet (including, most recently, the Anita Conti), enabling the consultation and dissemination of geographical data essential to the scientific operations carried out on board.

This collaboration is part of a long-standing relationship of trust, built on close dialogue between the technical teams at IFREMER and GEOMOD. It illustrates the importance of robust, interoperable digital tools specifically adapted to the constraints of marine environments.
